As you all know, Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we wanted to take a moment and have some of Target Tours’ family reflect on things they are thankful for…

Walter van Beek – Tour Director

While being on the go with Target Tours and their awesome itineraries and making new friends with our wonderful guests, I would like to add a heartfelt thanks to our intrepid Coach Atlantic drivers!

These supermen and superwomen navigate the labyrinthine roads of Quebec City and the “only for the brave of heart“ ways in and out of cities like New York City and Boston. They make our journeys not only safe but add to the whole camaraderie of the trip.

So, for these wonderful people who form a vital part of the Target Tours experience, I am truly thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gary Craswell – Tour Director

Over the last number of months, I have heard many friends speak of how thankful they are to be living on a small Island and in the Maritimes in general.

As Carol and I look back on our travels with Target Tours we are thankful for the opportunity to see and enjoy many places and experience them with a great group of new friends. One of the last tours we did before Covid was a Mediterranean Cruise out of Barcelona. Our last stop was Palma, unofficially known as Palma de Mallorca a small Island off the coast of Spain.

As you read this the residents of La Palma are struggling to come to terms with the devastation wrought by the Cumbre Vieja volcano, which has been ejecting a destructive cocktail of ash, smoke, and lava for more than 10 days. Residents are being evacuated as the burning lava approached their villages and burning homes many were caught off guard by the advancing column of molten rock.

We look forward to travelling with many of you again soon as I am sure you all are.  So, lets be thankful for what we have, where we live and for family. Let us also think of others around the world that are not as fortunate as we are all are during this time.

Lynn Dunphy – Co-Owner

When thinking about what I am thankful for, it is hard to pin point a specific. We have all been through a lot as a society, business, family, couple and as individuals. The past year and a half has taught me to be thankful for the small moments that I probably would have walked past without hesitation. It has changed how I see people, now taking that extra moment to connect.

I look back at where John and I have travelled and great people we have hosted. They are numerous and valuable. We created a business that is not just a business, it is so much more than that.

To say what I am thankful for is to be able to say I am most thankful for the people. Our clients, our staff, our travels partners and most of all our family and close friends.

Thanksgiving is more than one day. It is everyday, everything and everyone that happens in it.
