We are in the final stretch of the Holiday season with getting projects and itineraries finished before we give our team a well-deserved break between Christmas and New Years.

Every year at this time, we look back at the tours we operated, the people we have met and also the places we have visited. We collect as much information as possible to see how we can improve both our product and our services for the next time. We appreciate the efforts of our clients to tell us what they think and to make suggestions for the next one. You will never know how much this feedback is appreciated and valued.

We also are quite proud of the way we handled some of the challenges we faced this past year. Can you say cancelled flights!! We started the year with some “out of the box” problem solving with renting a bus overnight to Montreal to catch a flight to Florida to meet up with our cruise after our flights from a few Maritime cities were cancelled.

Lynn and I were fortunate to lead a couple of groups this fall to Ireland and a River Cruise on the Rhine. What struck me the most about these tours was the community we were creating for each group.

As tour leaders, we try and get everyone together as a group to learn about each other and find out their common interests. We notice often when people meet on a tour for the first time, they develop a friendship that carries on long after the tour has ended. In fact, many times you see them book a future tour together.

So, for 2024 and beyond, our purpose will be “Creating a Community of Travellers”. We want to create a sense of belonging with a shared interest in the destinations we are visiting. We want to create an environment for you see the world with friends you haven’t met and hopefully learn more about the places and people we have visited. Stay tuned for more community building initiatives next year!

On behalf of the team at Target Tours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May 2024 be the year you cross something off your bucket list!

John and Lynn
