When it comes to travelling there are more destinations than there is time. If you are just starting out in group travel and you are not sure where your first trip should be there are two tours we offer that are great beginning points.
Group travel brings like-minded people together and the time spent with one another truly becomes part of the experience. You are sure to make new friends along the way. It also brings a sense of security and you can finally sit back, relax and enjoy your much needed vacation.
Where should you start in group travel? There are two of our tours that come to mind that will help you get a taste for what you can expect on a group tour. Our New York City tours and no-fly cruises to Bermuda are shorter in length, feature one main destination, and have the perfect mix of time with the group and free time on your own.
#1 – New York City

New York City is by far one of our most popular tours and we consider ourselves to be experts on this destination. In fact, we offer tours to New York City at least four times a year. These tours are the perfect “starter” group tour to introduce yourself to this way of travel.
All of our New York City tours are six days in length with three nights in Manhattan. This duration gives you the perfect mix of time with the group and the flexibility of exploring the destination on your own.
Our tours to New York City tend to be some of the most diverse groups of travellers. Because of the short length a wider of variety of people at different stages of their lives are able to take the time to participate. Why is this important? You are very likely to find someone on the tour that you can connect with and share your experience. After all, travel is best shared with like minded individuals.
While New York City is a bucket list destination for many it can also be intimidating to do on your own – there is more to see than there is time! On a group tour you have an experienced Tour Director who can help you navigate the city and find the highlights you are most interested in. You will find that many other travellers are also interested in seeing the same sights so new friendships will be formed.
While in the city you have the option of exploring completely independently or with a group. This freedom allows you to make the most of your vacation.
#2 – Bermuda No-Fly Cruise

Our Bermuda no-fly cruise tours are great starters for anyone who hasn’t travelled with a group in the past or has never cruised. Similar to our New York City tours these are shorter in length (10 days) with a great mix of time with the group and free time to explore on your own.
These itineraries feature a 7-day cruise where you will be docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda for three days. If you have not cruised before this gives you a feel for what it is like to be on a cruise ship without being at sea several days or travelling from port to port. Three days docked in Bermuda also gives you plenty of time to explore the island on your own or with the group.
Bermuda as a destination can be quite expensive if you were to travel on your own. Travelling with a group on one of our no-fly cruise tours allows you to take advantage of the cruise ship as your hotel and restaurant while docked. We also arrange for a private guided tour of the island that only guests on our group tour can take part in.
During the cruise we make reservations in one of the main complimentary dining rooms each evening for the group. This allows you to skip the line and join your fellow travellers for a relaxing meal. Your Tour Director will also hold meetings most days for any questions or concerns you may have.
We hope if you are trying to decide where to start with travelling with Target Tours we have helped narrow some things down. If you have questions at any point don’t ever hesitate to contact us.
