Here we are again, getting to the end of another wonderful year at Target Tours. By Lynn Dunphy, co-owner of Target Tours It has been an amazing year for us with some major changes. Our Inbound product (what we call our tours that come to the Maritimes instead of leave from the Maritimes) started off with the addition of Hayward Guide Service in April owned by Leah Jane Hayward. The integration of her company was a compliment to our existing lineup and we welcomed a record number of inbound tours to PEI in 2017. We have been thrilled to add...read more

Who are these Step-On Guides we keep hearing about? Some of you may recognize my name from calling the office or from me responding to emails. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Katie Dorgan and I am the Receptive Tour Coordinator here at Target Tours. The Receptive what?… believe me I was just as puzzled when I first heard the title. Receptive Tours (sometimes referred to as Inbound Tours) are tours that come to the Maritimes, where our business is located, instead of Retail Tours (sometimes referred to Outbound...read more

Our Operations Manager, Jacqueline, shares with us why she thinks our passengers will enjoy Celebrity and what you should know before you choose to cruise with this line. Hi folks! Jacqueline here and as many of you probably know by now because, it’s been mentioned a few times, I used to work on a cruise ship. It was only one contract but it happened to be on Celebrity Eclipse which is a ship that we are offering this coming year (2018). This made me very excited to talk about the brand and shed some light on the differences this line...read more

In early March, I had the fortunate opportunity to be invited by Visit Britain, Visit Scotland, and Connection Tours on a 7-day familiarization tour of Scotland and London. The visit was more than an introduction to the destinations, but it also became an inspiration to look differently at our tour product and how we present it. The tour itself was made up of travel representatives from across Canada and included both travel agents and tour operators, like ourselves. We were 10 people on a 16 passenger Mercedes mini-coach and our driver guide...read more

When you call to book with Target Tours we always ask if you require travel insurance and a quote from us. You should never travel outside your province, let alone the country, without proper travel insurance. I’m not going to list off all the things that can happen, you probably have already heard the horror stories. What I am going to do is try to make a distinction between comprehensive travel insurance and minimal coverage. Often group insurance through an employer or credit cards has some level of travel insurance that comes with...read more
What Our Guests Say
The atmosphere on the bus was so relaxing, it made the whole group comfortable enough to get to know each other. We had lots of laughs on the trip.
The driver was exceptional and the tour guide kept us informed, entertained, and at our destinations on time. The entire experience will always be a favorite memory.
Thanks for the memories again! We hope to go back in November with your tour group.
Our Tour Director took great care with all the details and the shows were terrific. The freedom to do your own sightseeing was a bonus for returning customers or the more adventurous. This trip was fun. Thanks to everyone, I will go again.
He was the poster boy for customer service.
It was exactly what we wanted. An amazing experience and stress-free. I would definitely recommend Target Tours to others!
We so enjoyed our trip to and from Boston as well as the cruise to Bermuda. Thanks for thinking of us with dinner and group picture, a real night to remember.
The group came together as a family because of their attitude.
Many thanks for all the great memories.
Thanks John and Lynn for making our first cruise a dream come true. We will be counting the months to out next cruise in 2013.
Everyone had a fantastic time and I was so glad to be part of it.
The travels are now over and we are back to work today with feelings of satisfaction to be part of what can only be described as the best time anyone could ask for.
The hotel, care to detail, and little extras made the trip good for all. They explained everything that was happening at the race to those who had never been before. Our staff came away very satisfied. I would not hesitate to do this again.
Thanks Lynn and John

The little extras like water, chocolate, help with filling out customs forms, coupons, trivia, jokes, and tail-gate party are examples of the things that are certainly not required but definitely show how much Target Tours tries to make the trip enjoyable for everyone.
Thanks for the memories and great service!
Far exceeded expectations - The people on the bus, the laughs and new friends, the feeling of safety and security at all times were far beyond what I had expected. It was a privilege to have had this experience of a lifetime.
I haven't stopped talking about the tour since I got home. Just the little things you do mean a lot. Water, chocolates, bingo, movies and horse races: what else could you want. You are definitely doing things right.
The NASCAR tour was a wonderful trip with a comfortable bus, great hotel rooms, and an exceptional driver and tour guide.
We could tell the Tour Director put a lot of research in before the trip to share information as we drove. Our favorite memory was the warmth and friendship of the other NASCAR fans at the track.
Our favorite memories include walking into Yankee Stadium for the first time, arriving in Times Square, and developing a better understanding of NYC life and layout.
We had an excellent trip to New York. It was well-planned and we were well treated everywhere we went.
Our bus driver did a great job of driving through New York and he and the tour director were very knowledgeable. We're already planning on our next trip!
Seeing Times Square and Yankee Stadium (even if the Jays lost) were the highlights.
The reservations process was tops! The staff is super friendly and always willing to help out. And what can one say about John? He is the best! So organized and professional. John knows the areas all along the trip and shares this knowledge. He is very personable - constantly making sure everyone is comfortable. I spoke to a few new people on the tour who could not get over the pleasure of the trip - they spoke so highly of John's knowledge.
Our seats at the races were awesome! The tailgate party after the race and meeting up with people we've met on previous tours was our favorite memory.
Seeing Luke Bryan in concert was just unreal and no words could describe it. A little shopping time added too.. What more could a girl ask for? This was a great relaxing trip spent with friends!
I felt very safe and well informed during the whole trip.
