Grateful

This time of year is always special. Get-togethers with family and friends happen more frequently and the spirit of the season is expressed in good cheer all around. It gives you a warm feeling inside!

This is also a good time to reflect on the year that has passed us by. As Lynn and I reflect it always seems as we get older, time flies by faster. The end of every month comes quicker, and Fridays come with a “Where the heck did the week go!”.  But during the Holiday Season, we get to slow time down and treasure the moments.

We celebrated our 10th year in business in 2019. From humble beginnings in the basement of our home to a professional office in the outskirts of Charlottetown, we have come a long way. It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years since Lynn and I took a risk and followed our passion, but here we are with an amazing team to support us in our dream.

As we reflect back on not only the past year but the past decade, we can’t help but feel so fortunate and grateful to be surrounded by a fun and professional team. This team shares a common focus of service and hospitality to you, our clients. There is not a day that goes by that Lynn and I don’t get up and look forward to coming to work to conquer the challenges that come our way. This includes our office team and our experienced team of Step-On Guides and Tour Directors. They inspire us to make Target Tours the best it can be.

We are also grateful for the people who put their trust in us when they decide to travel on one of our tours. We cannot begin to put a value on the friendships we have made after being on tour for days or weeks.

This year also marked our 30th year of marriage. Certainly a milestone for us to be proud about. It started with celebrating with past and newfound friends on our Anniversary Hawaii Cruise Tour in February and finished with our own vacation in Venice and Lake Como in August. Many new memories were made and it was a great opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to each other and the company as a whole.

At this time of year, we also look ahead to the possibilities that await Target Tours! Beginning in January you will see an exciting online contest as well as a new look to Target Tours as we update our website, our logo, our tag line, and a few other surprises. No dramatic changes but after ten years we felt like it was time to prepare the brand for the next decade.  We will also be discovering some new destinations and starting to announce some of our most exciting tours for 2021. It’s never too early to start planning that far ahead!

As we wind down for the season, we want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope this holiday season is filled with good health and happiness. And if you have a moment to yourself, maybe reflect on everything that you are grateful for.  You won’t regret it.
