Let’s talk Pick Pockets.

There is no way to ease into this topic but it’s important because it’s real.

Especially in places like Europe, but even places within North America,

Pick Pockets are a risk, and we want to make sure you’re prepared!

Here are some things you can look out for or do to protect yourself. 🔐

Let’s start with appearance because this is a big one;

Pick pockets can look like any regular person, even a tourist or a business man/woman. 

They are meant to blend in with their surroundings and can even be working in teams.

Be aware of your surroundings including who is around you and how close they are.

Second tip is if you’re in a big crowd or busy street,

Keep your bag close to your person. 

If you’re wearing a backpack/slingback, make sure it is resting in front of you (not against your back) 🎒

If you’re carrying purse or bag with a zipper, make sure it is closed 👜

If you’re carrying a purse or bag with no zipper, tuck it under your armpit to ensure it is secured so no one can pick from it 🛍️

Third tip may be the most important one;

Listen closely to your Tour Director when you’re out.

Our Tour Directors are trained and experienced to always be on the look out.

They will point out places to avoid and additional ways you can keep your belongings safe and secure.

And of course, if you’re nervous about exploring on your own you are always welcome to join your Tour Director and fellow travelers.
